"This is what I'm supposed to do with my life."
- Cloud Strider, on realizing his special talent
Cloud Strider grew up in Los Pegasus. He always knew that there was something out there for him, and he was quite the explorer when he was a colt. He discovered his love for being heard, so he decided to become a DJ at the local radio station. It was there, however, that he discovered his true talent of singing. Shortly after he left Los Pegasus to start a band of his own.
He first flew up to Van Hoover, where he heard Sam Ivory playing the piano in the school. He was amazed in his ability and asked if he wanted to be in his band. After thinking about it for a day, he agreed, and the two continued on to Cloudsdale. There, they met a young factory worker named Trevor Flame. He heard the solid beat from the thunderclouds and asked if he wanted to join the band. He accepted, and the three moved on.
Their next stop was Canterlot, and after hearing James Steel coming off the train, Cloud knew that he had to play guitar for them. James was happy to help, but he was unsure about being lead guitar. He came with them in the hope they would find a guitarist. After that they traveled to Fillydelphia, and after Nylon Blue auditioned for them they had their lead guitarist.
The group's last stop was Ponyville. They actually came to check out the recording studio of Theo Grey, but were surprised when they heard him playing bass guitar. Cloud asked him if he would complete the band, and he accepted.
When the Roots of Legend jammed together for the first time, Cloud Strider discovered that he represented the rock element of unity, because he brought the group together and was the lead singer.
Cloud Strider enjoys most forms of music, but he particuraly likes rock. If Equestrian music was like Earthen music, his favorite bands would be Aerosmith, The Doors, and Guns n' Roses.
His lyrics are truly inspirational, and the melody he puts in his songs is unforgettable.
